What Is An Air Source Heat Pump?

Air source heat pumps are the renewable, low carbon alternative to traditional high carbon heating systems. By eliminating the need for costly fossil fuels like gas and oil, it can help cut your energy bills, lower your carbon footprint, and earn quarterly payments. Air source heat pumps are a renewable technology that is backed by the government green homes grant.

Air Source Heat Pumps are located external to your property. They are classed as a renewable energy source so 75% renewable energy and 25% electricity. On average, every unit of electricity the pump uses for power, it will generate 3 to 4 units of heat.

Why Install An Air Source Heat Pump?

Air Source Heat Pumps are a renewable energy source, using external air – not gas – to heat water for your radiators and taps.

Because they are a renewable energy source, Air Source Heat Pumps will significantly
reduce your heating bills.

You will also be able to qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), to
receive quarterly payments for up to 7-years, which help to offset the cost of installation.

Thermostatic radiator valves work with the heat pump to control the temperature throughout individual rooms within your home; whereas older methods produce one temperature throughout the house, leading to more heat waste throughout the day.
